Jebsen Group was recently awarded the CarbonCare® Champion Label and CarbonCare® Star Label by the non-profit organisation, CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL), for the eleventh consecutive year – highlighting Jebsen’s achievements in carbon neutrality.

According to the verified Carbon Audit Report, Jebsen’s total carbon emissions in 2022 were 11,417.45 tonnes of CO2e (including direct and indirect emissions) – 38% lower than in 2021. The Group’s carbon intensity decreased by 30% to 622.20 tonnes of CO2e per billion HK$ of revenue compared to 2021 (i.e. 890.89 tonnes of CO2e per billion HK$ of revenue).

In addition, the Group has extended carbon management from its own operations to the entire value chain, using the HiESG system for comprehensive carbon accounting. We conducted Employee Commuting Survey to measure the associated carbon emissions. The survey results show that more than 90% of Jebseners choose green transport during working days in 2022. The total carbon emissions resulting from employee commuting were 1,655.46 tonnes of CO2e.

Climate action is an important part of our new sustainability model. We will continue to develop Group targets and measures to address climate change and continue our journey towards net zero.
