Special Musical Journey for Visually Impaired Children

0921-1_0

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Porsche Centre Hangzhou Westlake, 11 Jebsen volunteers accompanied local visually impaired children to the Hangzhou Grand Theatre on September 21, demonstrating our commitment to the local community through a unique musical experience.

Children with visual impairments often have a heightened sensitivity to music. Before the event began, one of the visually impaired children sat at the piano and played skillfully, filling the room with beautiful melodies that touched everyone’s hearts. Later, under the gentle guidance of a professional music teacher, Jebsen volunteers joyfully accompanied the children in exploring the enchanting world of music and rhythm through vocal percussion (beatboxing) and a cappella. The room was filled with smiles and laughter as everyone immersed themselves in the heartwarming musical experience.

That afternoon, it was rehearsal time for the Yue Liang Art Troupe’s a cappella choir at the Hangzhou Grand Theatre. The children from the Yue Liang Art Troupe joined us, rehearsing a segment of the Winter Olympics song “Snowflake”. Through music, the voices and rhythms of the Yue Liang Art Troupe’s children, the visually impaired children, and the Jebsen volunteers came together, creating a beautiful and heartwarming performance for everyone present.

We’d like to thank all the Jebsen volunteers for their invaluable support in allowing us to have a truly enjoyable and meaningful time with visually impaired children and make a positive impact on our community!
