Founded in Nov 2010, Jebsen-TCG Automotive Systems (Dalian) Co., Ltd is the leading company in the development and manufacturing of oil pumps and water pump systems in China. It is a joint venture company between the Mobility Solutions division of Jebsen Industrial and TCG Unitech, a specialist in the development and optimisation of complex, innovative die-cast products and pump systems. With an investment of RMB 30 million, the 5,000 square metre new plant is equipped with advanced, fully-automated assembly lines, the company’s new plant increases its number of production line capacity from two to ten, expanding the manufacturing capacity of oil and water pumps to 4 million units a year from 1.5 million.

New state-of-the-art quality-testing equipment, including pump test benches and cleanliness lab, enables the new plant to also produce new electrical water pumps. These electric water pumps are critical for electric and fuel-cell powered engines. They serve the fuel-efficiency efforts and electrification ambition of the Chinese automotive industry.

China is the world’s largest auto market. It saw new vehicle sales rise 3% last year to 28.88 million units . The Chinese government encourages fuel-efficient autos and electric vehicles to reduce pollution. With this expansion, Jebsen TCG is well placed to capture new opportunities driven by these developments in China’s expanding auto sector.

The expansion and new technologies also reflect Jebsen-TCG’s strategic aim to not only thrive as an OEM manufacturer but also seek growth in the aftermarket business.

Mr Carsten Schmidt, General Manager of Mobility Solutions said: “As Jebsen‘s second automotive joint venture established in Dalian, it serves as another example of our deep commitment to developing China’s automotive industry by introducing advanced technologies from overseas. We see great potential for our high-performance oil pump and electric water pump products in the China market, and we are confident that with this new capacity and technology we will continue to provide Chinese auto manufacturers with the very best, most advanced products in the industry.”

“The city of Dalian has been an integral part of the Jebsen business in China for many years. The opening of our new Dalian manufacturing plant is a milestone in the long relationship we have with both TCG Unitech and Dalian. ” Mr Hans Michael Jebsen, Chairman of Jebsen Group said, “TCG Unitech has been a strong and innovative partner to the Jebsen Group in the automotive industry since 2010. With our shared values of honesty, loyalty, and focus on quality, this new plant symbolizes the long-term commitment of Jebsen-TCG to Dalian as our automotive hub. ”
Jebsen-TCG leverages the technical expertise and local knowledge of both companies and manufactures high-performance state-of-the-art oil and water pumps for China’s rapidly growing auto industry. The joint venture built its first manufacturing plant in Dalian back in 2010. The 1,279 square meter plant involved an investment of RMB 20 million.
