1895 - Jacob Jebsen and Heinrich Jessen co-found the company of Jebsen & Co

1897 - Signs an agreement with BASF to trade indigo dye and gets its start in the industrial sector

1903-07 - Sets up its first Mainland China offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou

1906 - Acquires Blue Girl Beer, which will later become Hong Kong’s favourite and No. 1 beer

1930 - Obtains the Mercedes Benz agency for the Chinese market

1939-45 - Maintains its operations in China during World War II

1953 - Imports the first Volkswagen Beetle car into the Hong Kong market

1961 - Acts as agent for Lufthansa when it begins flying to Hong Kong

1970s - Sole agent for some 25 European manufacturers of textile machinery, contributing to Hong Kong's textile industry which accounts for 60% of Hong Kong manufacturing goods exports in that period

1986 - Starts to represent Pentax , and now Jebsen is the biggest Pentax digital camera distributor in the Asian Pacific Region

1991 - Establishes Jebsen Fine Wines in Hong Kong, setting the stage for it to become one of the largest independent distributors in the region

2000 - Establishes Jebsen-Mazzucchelli, its first joint venture and expands business to manufacturing areas

2001 - Imports the first Porsche to Mainland China
