Group Administration, Jebsen Group

If you visit the Jebsen office in Causeway Bay, we hope you will find it to be a bright and breezy environment that is open and welcoming. That was our objective when we began the massive office renovation project in March 2014. There were many reasons that prompted us to embark on this rather ambitious initiative, but our main motivation was to give our colleagues a comfortable workspace.

As our family of employees grows alongside the business, space constraints have required some divisions to seat their teammates on different floors. Therefore our topmost priority was to reconfigure the office so that all colleagues of the same divisions could work together. Staff welfare was another consideration. We took the opportunity to create a larger and more functional pantry area for gatherings and Lactation Rooms for working mothers. Finally, we also renovated our reception area with a simple but stylish look to give guests and business partners a positive first impression.

A project of this scale and magnitude certainly came with a whole set of challenges. We took the needs of different departments into consideration, working under time pressure so as to minimise any inconvenience that the renovation would bring on daily work. Teamwork, communication and people focus were the critical success factors. Facilities & Administration Team would like to take this opportunity to show our gratitude to all departments for their cooperation and patience during the renovation period.

The final phase of the project is actually still ongoing. We will have an enhanced multi-function room that will be able to host various staff activities ready for our colleagues’ enjoyment by the end of 2015.
