The recent “Night of Champions” ceremony hosted by Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific saw Team Jebsen presented with a distinguished “20 Years with Porsche Carrera Cup Asia” trophy. The award honoured Team Jebsen’s remarkable 20-year journey with, and outstanding contributions to, the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA).
Since its establishment in 2004, Team Jebsen has been a pioneering participant of the PCCA, the premier one-make sports car racing series in Asia. Throughout two decades of unwavering dedication and a remarkable competitive spirit, Team Jebsen has achieved many successes. They clinched the PCCA annual championship in 2006, 2008, and 2021, while also securing first place in the 2015 Class B title race and second place in the 2017 Pro-Am class title race. To date, the team has won 26 races, with an impressive 110 podium appearances.
Team Jebsen’s achievements are testament to their close collaboration with talented drivers. Over the years, the team has successfully partnered with seven drivers, crafting a series of memorable races and Team Jebsen remains committed to exploring and nurturing young talent. Beyond providing financial support, the team invests significant time and effort to unlock driver potential as they embark upon their professional racing career path, contributing to the growth of China’s motorsport industry.
Darryl O’Young was the first driver signed by Team Jebsen and exemplifies this fruitful collaboration. Through Jebsen’s meticulous guidance, Darryl transformed from a promising rookie into a two-time PCCA season champion. With the support of Jebsen, he has also emerged as a European Porsche Supercup winner. Furthermore, Team Jebsen has proudly observed the growth and achievements of several other drivers, including Rodolfo Avila, Cui Yue, Yuey Tan, Daniel Lu and Gao Yujia, among others. Each driver’s progress stands as a testament to the team as well as Jebsen Motors’ commitment to talent development. This year, 2024 Porsche Junior Alessandro Ghiretti is representing Team Jebsen, and we wish him good luck for the season.
