Jebsen Motors is thrilled to announce that Alessandro Ghiretti, Porsche Junior of the Year 2024, will represent Team Jebsen in the upcoming Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) 2024, driving car number 55.
At just 21 years old, the talented French driver has already established his reputation in various international races. Inheriting his family’s passion for motorsport, Ghiretti began his racing journey at the age of seven on the karting track. Throughout his career, he has showcased remarkable athleticism and driving prowess, competing in Formula 4, Formula 3 and the Le Mans Cup, as well as achieving runner-up in the Porsche Carrera Cup France. Notably last year, Ghiretti was crowned Rookie champion in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The winner then outperformed eleven rivals during an extensive selection process by Porsche that took place in Portimao, Portugal, earning him the prestigious 2024 Porsche Junior title. His exceptional driving skills, and great collaboration with the engineers, media work, and fitness tests, were instrumental in his victory.
Porsche places great importance on talent cultivation and has been operating its prestigious and ongoing Porsche Junior Programme since 1997. This programme serves as an important and sustainable springboard for emerging talent. As a founding member of the PCCA, Team Jebsen embraces the same philosophy of actively nurturing young drivers, boasting extensive experience, a tight-knit team and unwavering support from Jebsen Group. Behind the scenes, the team’s technical prowess is fortified by the skilled EKS technician team, who have enjoyed a decade-long collaboration with Team Jebsen, alongside the accomplished race engineer Floch Benjamin. These invaluable resources will undoubtedly provide Ghiretti with a significant advantage in his racing endeavours.
Founded in 2004, Team Jebsen has been participating in the PCCA — Asia’s top sportscar racing series — from an early stage. It celebrated championship victories in 2006, 2008 and 2021, and took first place in 2015’s Class B title and second place in 2017’s Pro-Am class title race. To date, Team Jebsen has won 25 races, with an impressive 108 podium appearances in total.
This year holds special significance as Team Jebsen celebrates its 20th anniversary in the PCCA. The upcoming season is set to kick off from April 19 to 21 at the Shanghai International Circuit. We hope you’ll join us in watching Ghiretti’s thrilling races throughout the 2024 season – and we look forward to his ongoing triumphs with Team Jebsen!
