On Mar 9, 2022, Jebsen Motors, a leading automotive dealer group in Greater China, officially signed a partnership agreement with Guangdong Advanced Mechanic School of Gao Xin Tech to launch the Jebsen Motors Apprentice Programme. The Jebsen Motors Talent Cultivation Base was also officially unveiled at the school simultaneously. Based on Porsche China’s PEAP programme, the Apprentice Programme plans to select 15-20 students from a pool of candidates, nurturing future talent for Jebsen Motors’ Porsche Centres.

Jebsen Motors continues to set new benchmarks for customer service and professionalism in the region’s automotive industry. It believes that talent development and retention is the key to success and thus, launching Jebsen Motors Talent Academy represents its commitment to the training and development of staff throughout the business line. Concurrently, the Jebsen Motors Apprentice Programme is a response to the growing demand for talent, empowering students from senior technical schools with the aim of matching their skills to Jebsen Motors’ needs.

As a collaborative school-enterprise programme, the Jebsen Motors Apprentice Programme aligns with the Chinese government’s current vocational education and training, and its technical and skilled talents cultivation strategies.

Mr Joachim Eberlein, Managing Director of Jebsen Motors, says, “We are glad to partner with Guangdong Advanced Mechanic School of Gao Xin Tech to train the next generation of outstanding, skilful and hard-working technical talent. We believe that this collaboration will open up opportunities for academic and technological exchange between Jebsen Motors and the school, empowering talent development throughout the business line.”

The programme is a three-year pilot project of the Jebsen Motors Apprentice Programme and a sub-project of the Jebsen Motors Talent Academy. Students will receive training from both Jebsen Motors and the school. Selected students after the training will undertake long-term internships or receive opportunities to start their careers at Jebsen Motors’ Porsche Centres, and the outstanding ones will be awarded scholarships funded by Jebsen Motors. Furthermore, the programme’s lecturers will be invited to Porsche Centres for academic exchange purposes, and the programme will also be launched in the other regions, such as Yangtze River Delta region in the future.
