Like many Hong Kongers, I love adventures. And like many Hongkongers, I am a huge fan of the Ocean Park Halloween Bash, a long-standing Hong Kong attraction that draws local thrill-seekers together every October for the most frightening, fun and exciting Halloween party in town.

My role as Assistant Marketing Manager at the Beer division puts me in a position to enjoy this spectacular event from a more intimate perspective. For 10 consecutive years now, Blue Girl Beer – our iconic beer brand – has been the official beer partner of the Ocean Park Halloween Bash. The Blue Girl brand essence is all about Genuineness, Adventurousness and Comradeship, perfectly matching the profile of the Halloween Bash goers: groups of young excitement seekers who love to enjoy premium quality beer as a reward for braving the thrilling attractions at the Park.

At Jebsen, we hold a firm belief that “success breeds success.” Indeed, the success of this partnership has enabled important milestones and opportunities for Jebsen. Case in point: in October 2016, we used the Halloween Bash as a platform to launch the first-ever Blue Girl Draught experience in Hong Kong. To expand Blue Girl’s exposure in the Park, we cooperated with Ocean Park to set up our branded bar decorations inside the key haunted house attraction and lamppost banners on the trails to catch eyeballs.

The response was quite overwhelming, but with the sales and order team’s efficient support, we managed to handle urgent orders of Blue Girl Draught to cope with the anticipated high consumption over the weekend. We also replenished the Blue Girl labels for the additional beer yards Ocean Park had to order due to the high demand. By the end of the event period, there was an increase of over 50% in the combined sales volume of Blue Girl Beer products. It was a collaborative success.

Building on the success of this event and our strong foundation of trust and partnership, we have been invited to join another adventure with Ocean Park: In spring 2017, Jebsen Beer and Jebsen Wine will participate at Ocean Park’s “Chill Out at the South” attraction, an all-new multi-sensory culinary experience targeting Hong Kong’s food and wine lovers. We are hoping this new project will bring the success of Jebsen Beverage to another level, and breed further success for the Group.
