Porsche China recently announced the results of 2023’s “Porsche Dealer of the Year Sustainability Award”, with Jebsen Motors’ contributions in sustainability recognised once again. Porsche Centre Nanjing Jiangning and Porsche Centre Guangzhou Tianhe were both recognised with a “More Than A Porsche Dealership” award, while Porsche Centre Haining was honoured with a “Sustainability@Retail” award.
Porsche China introduced its Sustainability Award in 2022, which comprises of the “More Than A Porsche Dealership” and “Sustainability@Retail” programmes. The award aims to encourage Porsche dealers and investors in China to actively engage in corporate social responsibility and environmental conservation.
The “More Than A Porsche Dealership” programme encourages and empowers Porsche dealers to make sustainable, local social impact beyond their role as auto retailers. As such, Porsche Centre Guangzhou Tianhe has focused on environmental, educational and social issues. Through holding CSR activities such as “Protect Mangrove Forests, Build A Better Home” and the “Children Painting Future: Rural Art Education Project”, the Centre has benefited various sectors of the local community, particularly contributing to youth growth and development. These activities also successfully generated enthusiasm among employees, customers and even the media to participate and contribute to impactful public welfare initiatives.
While working on Project Morning Star Phase III initiatives, Porsche Centre Nanjing Jiangning also collaborated with local charities to roll out heartwarming and engaging CSR activities – such as caring for seniors without families, supporting the rescue of stray animals and adopting animals from Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo. Both Centres received great acclaim from the judging committee for their high level of social welfare participation, volume of projects and sustained length of service.
The “Sustainability@Retail” award highlights dealers’ energy conservation practices, renewable energy use and green operations. Porsche Centre Haining earned this recognition through a series of initiatives implemented over the past year. These included the adoption of energy-efficient equipment, the optimisation of energy sources and the use of eco-friendly materials. Consequently, the Centre significantly reduced its carbon emissions, achieved annual carbon neutrality and set a benchmark for sustainability in the retail sector.
