Thanks to the collective efforts of Jebseners,”Sports for Vision” has successfully completed seven phases and marked its first offline event of the year. On July 12, 16 Jebsen volunteers from Guangzhou and Shenzhen paired one-on-one with local visually impaired students for a special visit to the Grandview Museum of Natural Science. A total of 67 participants embarked on an immersive journey—exploring nature through sound, touch, and interactive experiences.
As a “touchable museum”, Grandview Museum of Natural Science offers a rich multi-sensory experience for visually impaired visitors, featuring models and interactive exhibits crafted from real fossil specimens. Two specially trained “non-visual guides” led the students through the experience. Through vivid storytelling and tactile exploration, the children felt the texture of dinosaur fossils, traced the patterns of their skin, and listened to the story of life on Earth—igniting their curiosity and love for science.

After the tour, the students became junior paleontologists. Guided by instructors, they used brushes and chisels to carefully clean fossils specimens, gaining insight into how fossils are formed and experiencing the hands-on precision and excitement of paleontological work.

Special thanks to Guangzhou Tianhe Porsche Centre for generously providing gifts to the visually impaired students and their families. A heartfelt thank you to all volunteers for their warm companionship and support, helping the visually impaired students experience the warmth and power of science through touch and exploration. To every colleague who has participated in the “Sports for Vision”, your ongoing dedication is what keeps this light shining bright.
