To complement our ongoing Group digital transformation project, we invited Professor James Thong, the Michael Jebsen Professor of Business from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), to speak to our colleagues on January 13, 2022. We hope that his talk, “The impact of animated banner adverts on online consumers”, will strengthen our business practices with the latest research in the field.
Around 60 colleagues from the fields of branding, marketing, CRM, IT and e-commerce joined the event at our headquarters, with another 20 colleagues in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong joining online by live stream. Mr Hans Michael Jebsen, Chairman of Jebsen Group, Mr Alfons Mensdorff, CEO of Jebsen Group, HKUST’s management and Jebsen Scholars also participated in this event.
The Jebsen Educational Foundation was founded in 1995 to support MBA students at HKUST. The Michael Jebsen Professorship in Business and the David von Hansemann Professorship in Science were also established at the university. As a dedicated and long-time supporter of HKUST, Mr Jebsen is also the Chairman of HKUST Business School and has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the university.
